It was such an honour to be able to capture Jen & George’s magical day. Here’s their story…

Why did you pick your venue, and what makes it special to you?
Found it via a friend's recommendation. We knew it was perfect as soon as we visited for the first time. The lake and gorgeous grounds give it a touch of magic, and it's such a romantic setting.
It's a real honour to have been chosen to capture your special day - thank you! We would love to know why you chose us - what is it about our work that you like?
We loved that you curate each video to the couple, and really reflect the unique feeling of their day. It doesn't feel like the same formula for everyone, and instead is more tailored to complement the couple.
What is important in life to you?
Family and friends (and holidays and food!) we're simple beings at heart.

What is a typical Sunday/day off together like for you?
Brunch - good coffee and a stroll! Maybe a run if we're feeling super enthusiastic. George taught me how to run in lockdown (patience of a saint that one!) and now we really enjoy a gentle run together somewhere pretty when we get the time.
How did you meet each other?
We met at university in Norwich, through mutual friends. Some eye contact was made, then we started chatting the summer before our final year. We went on our first date as soon as we were back for the final year, and stayed up chatting till 3am, George gave me a kiss on the head when he headed back to his house, and I think we were both smitten from then.
How about the proposal? Tell us everything! :-)
It was Jen's birthday May 2022, we went to M&S to get picnic snacks, then headed for a nice peaceful woodland walk near Shotley. George had scouted out a quiet spot for us to eat (he knew I wouldn't have wanted a super public event). I had some mild suspicions because George kept exclaiming how "SO RELAXED" he was feeling, but he still managed to catch me by surprise. We were sitting in a field/meadow for our picnic, and he pointed out some flowers behind me and asked me if I knew what they were called, when I turned back around he was on one knee with the ring. The rest is a blur, but it was incredibly sweet, and perfect for us.

Why did you choose each other over anyone else?
Jen's answer: Just feels like home. I can get a little tightly wound sometimes, but George balances me out, he's much more laid back, and life is more fun when we're together, it's cliché buts he's my missing puzzle piece.
George's answer: instant connection , and I feel like I can talk to Jen about anything and she is beautiful, particularly her eyes which I get lost in.
How do you think your partner makes you better?
George's answer: Jen ensures that I enjoy every little day to day moment in life and makes sure I don't rush through life. We enjoy new things we wouldn't have done without being together.
Jen's answer: George helps me not 'not sweat the small stuff', and appreciate the wonderful life we're building together. He is also incredibly kind and generous, and I feel more grounded to what's really important with him in my life.
What part of marriage do you think will be the most challenging?
We have lived together for over five years so we already know how to irritate each other aha! I think we know eachother inside out at this point, and we've supported each other through a lot in last 8 years. Perhaps possibly new dynamics could one day be a challenge, if we're lucky enough to expand our little family to more than just the 2 of us, but we love an adventure!
What's the one thing you've never done but dream of being able to do one day?
A long, adventurous holiday! Japan here we come 2025!
What makes your partner unique?
George's answer: Jen is both calm and sensible but also adventurous and tries new things. She cares about everything being perfect for me and everyone.
Jen's answer: George is a big kid in the best way, he's got a huge heart and time for everyone. He has an amazing talent for balancing a million responsibilities, 2 jobs, and yet never losing his bounce. He's my sunshine.
wedding ceremony
If you could describe your partner in 5 words, what would they be?
George's answer: beautiful, thoughtful, flirty, stubborn, creative
Jen's answer: Joyful, kind, handsome, cheeky, reliable
Tell us about your wedding plans so far - anything you would like to mention (including fears, what excites you, etc.)?
Super exited for the doughnut tower! And the ceremony itself, we've been planning for just over 2 years now, so feeling very ready to be husband and wife. We are keeping fingers crossed for a dry day, as it will be magical to have the ceremony by the lake, with the harpist setting the mood. We're also really looking forward to being surrounded by all our loved ones for the whole day.
What sort of music do you like, and who do you listen to on a regular basis?
We love a wide variety, the Beatles are a joint favourite, and we will be walking back down the isle to 'all you need is love' after the ceremony, and having our first dance to 'till there was you' both Beatles songs.
We like a lot of old classics (Jen's fond of the 80s), but also enjoy the charts too.
In terms of style, look and feel, how would you summarise your wedding day?
Romantic, soft, whimsical, traditional elements, hint of vintage.
Finally... why are you marrying each other?!? :-)
We want to spend the rest of our lives together, drinking coffee, eating food, going on adventures and making memories. (And we are both excited to put a ring on it!)
